Overview

The Tracking and Evaluation Core (TEC) has been building high evaluation capacity in Alliance institutions by integrating a participatory and utilization evaluation approach, continuous quality improvement, organizational development and actively involve stakeholders in the monitoring and evaluation practices.

TEC ensures robust and systematic methods to provide useful data in order to drive improvements as an ongoing process; promote regular communication between and within Alliance activities and cores; and to promote a better use of resources.

Goal & Objectives

TEC implements robust and exemplary practices, methods, and standards in evaluation to strengthen Alliance capacity and performance. TEC oversees an internal evaluation plan for assessing the implementation of the short-term and long-term goals of the Alliance.

TEC objectives are to assess the Alliance operational structure; evaluate the clinical and translational research impact of Alliance supported research; evaluate the community participation and integration into Alliance activities; and assess the budget, use, quality, experiences, and impact of the Alliance resources and activities.

Core Aims

Specific Aim 1. Conduct a comprehensive internal evaluation plan for assessing progress on Alliance short-term and long-term goals.
Specific Aim 2. Integrate mixed research methods and innovative approaches to track and monitor Alliance management, activities, resources and outcomes.
Specific Aim 3. Use outcomes and achievements of the program goals to inform interventions to strengthen capacity and performance of the Alliance.
