The Alliance Retreat was a two-day event that brought together leaders, investigators, and support personnel from the partner’s institutions to report and evaluate our performance over the past year. We had the participation of the Alliance Internal and External Advisory Committee in a hybrid modality. Over 50 people participated in person both days and around 20 people virtually.
This was an excellent opportunity to network and brainstorm on how we can improve and continue towards our program goals. Invited investigators had the opportunity to present their projects in a “flash talk” section. In addition to the Cores’ report, we had the participation of “Coalicion de Coaliciones”, a community organization that works with the homeless community in Puerto Rico. Our retreat also served as an opportunity for the new investigators to have a one-on-one mentoring meeting with members of our External Advisory Committee.
