Generating Research Opportunities Working Together for Puerto Rico welcomes its newest member! Nutriendo PR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the nutritional security of Puerto Rico’s population. The organization drives innovative and scalable solutions to combat nutritional insecurity by investing in, connecting, and supporting sustainable, science-driven initiatives. Nutriendo PR is committed to advancing healthy nutrition through strategies and efforts that integrate proven methods to achieve established nutritional security standards. Led in collaboration with local and international partners alongside Executive Director Mrs. Angela Díaz, Nutriendo PR has launched five key programs aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, research, and investment to transform Puerto Rico’s nutritional landscape:
- The Observatory – A resource that compiles and disseminates the latest research on food security.
- The Educational Center – A hub for educational materials focused on nutrition and food security topics.
- The Social Laboratory – An initiative designed to address food security through innovative, civic-driven projects.
- The Innovation Fund – A program dedicated to ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all Puerto Ricans.
- The Network – A mutual platform aimed at building a comprehensive ecosystem to reshape food security on the island.
