Jessica Hernandez-Marrero
Site Affiliation: University of Puerto Rico Comprehensive Cancer Center
Title: Post-Doctoral Researcher
My nursing career has been devoted to clinical, educational, and research endeavors spanning critical care, cardiovascular diseases, gynecology, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), human papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers, genetics, hereditary cancer syndromes, gastrointestinal cancer prevention, oncology patient care, and the impact of climate change on cancer. As a Clinical Trials Coordinator, I have had the privilege of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams—ranging from healthcare professionals to research scientists—while overseeing the daily operations of complex clinical trials.
Over the past 15 years, I have coordinated more than 20 research protocols across Phase I, II, and III clinical trials, partnering with esteemed sponsors such as NIH/NCI and pharmaceutical companies. My dedication to advancing clinical research continues to fuel my passion for improving patient outcomes through innovative science.
