On the 17th and 18th of November, we hosted the 2022 Annual Alliance Retreat at the Verdanza Hotel. The Alliance leaders presented their core updates in the morning session, followed by the External Advisory Committee (EAC) questions and advice. We also had the presence of some of our investigators, presenting their research projects, among them were Dr. Carmen Buxo, Dr. Harold Saavedra, Dr. Maribel Tirado, Dr. Milagros Figueroa, and Dr. Angel Mayor. During the afternoon, there were 4 concurrent brainstorming sessions to prepare our renewal proposal. These were led by members of our EAC: Dr. Omar Khan, Dr. Shawn Murphy, Dr. Shelia McClure, Dr. Sally Hodder, and Dr. Mariano García-Blanco. The next day, the leaders presented their thoughts and ideas for the first draft of the renewal. We ended the retreat with an exit meeting with the members of the EAC.
