We are currently seeking a highly qualified Epidemiologist to join the BERD Core team. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree (MS) in Epidemiology and possess excellent analytical programming skills and modeling experience using STATA (preferred), R, SPSS, and/or SAS programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting researchers in various aspects of their projects, including study design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and providing educational materials on biostatistics, epidemiology, and research design.

- Master’s degree (MS) in Epidemiology
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent analytical programming skills and modeling experience using STATA (preferred), R, SPSS, and/or SAS.
- Ability to accurately input data, run statistical analysis, and interpret findings from STATA (preferred), R, SPSS, and/or SAS.
- Experience creating data collection forms (study questionnaires) and databases in different software and/or applications, such as Excel, REDCap, Access, Epi-Info.
- Proven skills in research design and methodology.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks.

- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Fully bilingual – Must speak, read, and write fluent English and Spanish.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and manage complex statistical databases to support diverse health research projects within the diverse set of topics and scientific areas of the researchers supported by ALLIANCE.
- Apply a variety of statistical techniques (e.g. Chi-Square, T-Test, ANOVA, Lineal Regression, or Logistic Regression) to analyze and interpret health-related data, providing insights for the fulfillment of each study project.
- Communicate statistical findings effectively, both orally and in writing, to a variety of researchers, clinicians, and/or community advocates.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing statistical analyses for dissemination in scientific presentations and/or scientific manuscripts.
- Utilize programming logic and codes for the enhancement of statistical processes by demonstrating proficiency in statistical analysis software programming such as STATA, or other statistical software for data manipulation and analysis.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of statistical research principles, methods, procedures, and ethical standards in the context of public health studies.
- Design and implement health-related research studies using statistical sampling and survey methodology, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data, contributing to epidemiological studies and public health assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, epidemiologists, and data scientists, to integrate statistical analyses into broader research initiatives.
- Stay abreast of advancements in statistical methodologies and tools, actively participating in training and professional development opportunities sponsored by the ALLIANCE.
- Manage and coordinate statistical aspects of research projects assigned by the unit coordinator, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met by participating and reporting work progress in the monthly staff meetings.
