The Anal Cancer–HSIL Outcomes Research (ANCHOR) trial team recently landed a publication in The New England Journal of Medicine titled: “Treatment of Anal High-Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions to Prevent Anal Cancer”. We are proud of Dr. Maribel Tirado, Dr. Vivan Colón, Dr. Ana Patricia Ortiz and Dr. Humberto Guiot, who are part of the ANCHOR team, for this achievement.
The objective of the Anal Cancer–HSIL Outcomes Research (ANCHOR) trial was to determine whether treating anal HSIL is effective and safe in reducing progression to anal cancer among persons living with HIV as compared with active monitoring of HSIL without treatment. Impact on Health Policy Anal High-Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions. The results from this trial will impact future guidelines and public policy efforts.
