
Dr. Enid García’s presentation at UCC Research Symposium
On April 9, 2026, Dr. Enid García served as a featured speaker at the Universidad Central del Caribe Research Symposium, delivering a presentation titled “Navigating non-traditional pathways in research.” Her talk highlighted how meaningful clinical research questions often emerge from patients’ and communities’ lived experiences and emphasized the value of non-traditional research pathways as equally rigorous approaches to knowledge generation.
The symposium drew a strong audience of approximately 250 participants, including students and faculty members, reflecting a high level of engagement and interest in scientific inquiry. In addition, the event showcased more than 90 scientific posters, representing a wide range of research areas and demonstrating the depth and diversity of scholarly activity across programs.
Dr. García’s contribution enriched the academic experience of attendees and reinforced the University’s commitment to promoting research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and student involvement in scientific research.
