Lic. Sonia García Esquilín
Sonia Enid García Esquilín, BS, Lic. #985, is a registered dietitian with over 30 years of experience in clinical and community nutrition in Puerto Rico and currently serves as a Nutritionist at the PryMed Medical, Inc., where she provides nutritional assessment, counseling, and diabetes education to ambulatory patients. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Universidad de Puerto Rico, she has led programs serving vulnerable populations, including individuals living with HIV/AIDS and chronic conditions. Her career integrates program development, health education, and academic collaboration at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus.
Dr. Luisa Alvarado Domenech

Dr. Luisa Alvarado Domenech
Dr. Luisa Idalia Alvarado-Domenech is an academic general pediatrician and Professor of Pediatrics at Ponce Health Sciences University. Recognized for her academic and administrative leadership, she has served as Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of Graduate Medical Education. Since 2010, she has led groundbreaking research in arboviral diseases, establishing the Sentinel Enhanced Dengue Surveillance System (SEDSS) in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and directing pivotal studies on dengue and Zika, including the POPZE cohort with high-impact publications. She continues to mentor students and advance pediatric research capacity in Puerto Rico.

Dr. Rosa Castro Ávila
Dr. Rosa T. Castro Ávila, MD, MHSA, is a physician and healthcare executive with over two decades of experience serving medically underserved populations in Puerto Rico. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of NeoMed Center, Inc., leading system-wide strategy and operations. She has held leadership roles in organizations such as the Puerto Rico Primary Care Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives – Puerto Rico Chapter. Her career integrates clinical expertise, organizational strengthening, and workforce development to advance equitable access and quality healthcare delivery.
