OVERVIEW

The IDeA State Consortium for a Clinical Research Resource Center (ISCORE-RC) aims to significantly increase the number of clinical research studies in IDeA states. Funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), ISCORE-RC is dedicated to improving the infrastructure, training, and capacity needed to foster clinical research in underresourced regions. Our mission is to create a robust and sustainable clinical research environment that can support more clinical trials, ultimately advancing medical research in these critical areas.

Our Objectives

• Effective Communication and Marketing
  • Highlight the expertise, quality, and capacity of ALLIANCE investigators and investigators from other outreach institutions in PR in conducting clinical studies to sponsors.
• Communication with Investigators:
  • Inform ALLIANCE investigators and investigators from other outreach institutions in PR about upcoming clinical studies.
• Clinical Research Coordinator Training Program
  • Offer a curriculum that includes both didactic and immersive learning experiences to train a skilled cadre of clinical research coordinators across Puerto Rico.
